The web comic “Kamiina Botan, Drunk Is a Lily Flower” has been decided to be made into a TV anime. This has led to the release of teaser visuals, concept movies, and information on the main staff. Also, comments have been received from the original author, Hei, regarding the anime adaptation.
“Kamiina Botan, Drunk, Lily Flowers” is a web comic by Fen, currently being serialized in Akita Shoten’s Champion Cross, which began serialization in March 2019. The story depicts the days of 20-year-old first-year university student Kamiina Botan, who connects with seniors who live in the same dormitory through alcohol.
The story features many real-life alcohols, including sake, whiskey, and wine. It also includes plenty of depictions of various cultures that can be enjoyed along with alcohol, such as music and movies, and each one connects with the characters’ personalities and feelings, creating a unique atmosphere.
With the decision to make it into an anime, a concept movie has been released showing how the staff will face it and shape the animation.
The main staff has also been revealed, with the first directing Sakuma Takashi, who directed the anime “16-bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER” and directed the “Licorice Recoil.” The assistant director is Tozawa Shuntaro, who was the storyboard and directed for “Fire Force.”
The character design is Yoshinari Koko, who produced the ending animation for Yamano Susume Next Summit. The main animators are Matsuo Yusuke, who was the character designer and general animation director for Yamano Susume, and “Onii-chan is over!” The general animation director, Miyachi, will be serving as the director of the film. The series is also composed by Yoneuchi Yamayoko, who wrote “Yubisaki and Love.” The music is Hashiguchi Kana from the second to third seasons of “Welcome to the Classroom of the Elite.” It was produced by “mono.”
