It has been announced that ” Severance ,” the Apple TV+ drama created, executive produced and directed by Ben Stiller, has been renewed for a third season.
Starring Adam Scott, this sci-fi psychological thriller is set in the pharmaceutical company Lumon Industries, where some employees have a surgical procedure called ” Severance ” that separates their work and private memories. Mark (Scott), one of the employees who underwent the surgery, unravels the company’s conspiracy. Season 1 began in 2022 and was nominated for 14 Emmy Awards.
Stiller confessed in an interview with Collider that he is already planning season 3. He said that the ending of the drama has already been decided, so he is just moving the story forward toward that goal, and that his goal is not to extend the popularity of the show by adding more seasons.
Season 2 of ” Severance ” will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on January 17th.
