CAMPFIRE, one of Japan’s largest crowdfunding services, has announced the project to win the CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Awards 2024. The first project, “I want to develop singing voice synthesis software “Bon Soyagi,” was selected for the grand prize in the “Amazing Being Promoted by Kaji Yuki to commemorate the 20th anniversary of voice acting,” and comments from Kaji also arrived.
The CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Award is held as an annual event to celebrate the creators and projects of crowdfunding, selected from all projects held at CAMPFIRE during the applicable period.
The award event for the CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Awards 2024 was held on March 5th, 2025, and the winners were announced. Of the 14,625 challenges that had applications closed between December 1, 2023 and November 30, 2024, 120 projects were nominated, and the projects that achieved particularly outstanding results were awarded in 11 categories.
The grand prize in the “Amazing Advocate” category was “Kaji Yuki Voice Actor 20th Anniversary | Soyagi Fractal]I want to develop the singing voice synthesis software “Bon Soyagi.” This was the first project of the “Soyagi Fractal,” a singing voice synthesis project that was launched by Kaji Yuki to commemorate the 20th anniversary of voice acting with the desire to “leave your own voice in the future and challenge yourself to create new entertainment together!”
The attempt was to commercialize the singing voice synthesis software “Bon Soyagi,” which will become his own alter ego, and the target amount was set to 10,000,000 yen. In the end, the total amount of support was 34,197,702 yen, bringing in 907 supporters.
When awarding the award, Kaji commented, “The themes my project cover is ‘speech synthesis’ and ‘AI’, which are extremely challenging and sensitive topics for active voice actors. It is also true that there was a sense of anxiety and fear along with excitement. In the midst of all this, I’ve been encouraged and encouraged by the messages I received from all my supporters. It saved me by saying that my beliefs, ideals, ideas were never wrong. It was an opportunity to feel the satisfaction of my feelings becoming fractal.”
The awards ceremony for the CAMPFIRE Crowdfunding Awards 2024 and the special talk show by the guests will be archived at the CAMPFIRE Academy around mid-April.
