It has been decided that the eighth entry gift for the currently-released theatrical advance version of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-, which will start on March 15th, 2025, will be an incredible booklet containing Anno Hideaki’s early concept plot, part of the script, and documents based on the original setting by the main staff. Additionally, a cheering screening will be held on March 15th, and a stage greeting for voice actors will be held on March 23rd.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX is a new Gundam series that is the first collaboration between Studio Color, which is the creator of the Evangelion series, and Sunrise (a work brand of Bandai Namco Filmworks), which is the creator of the Gundam series. The series will be delivered by a lavish staff member, including the “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” series, including the 2021 release of “Shin Evangelion: The Movie,” and the series will be composed by Enokido Yoji and mechanical designs by Yamashita Ikuto.
The story begins with Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl who lives peacefully in a space colony, and is caught up in an illegal mobile suit duel, Clan Battle after meeting a war refugee girl named Nyaan. Amate, who calls herself her entry name “Machu”, drives GQuuuuuX and throws herself into the days of fierce battles.
Around the same time, the unknown mobile suit “Gundam” that was being chased by both the Space Force and the police, and the pilot, Shuji, appear in front of her. The world was about to enter a new era… and it unfolds.
The TV series will begin airing on 30 Nippon TV stations from April 8th. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning- is currently being screened as a theatrical advance version with some episodes reconstructed for theater screening.
In 52 days since its release date on January 17th, the company has earned box office revenue of 3.050.99 billion yen and attracted over 1.854 million.
As the eighth gift for visitors, the “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-” ANNO SCENARIO & DESIGN WORKS 2″ has been decided to be distributed from March 15th.
This is a luxurious A4/24 page booklet containing Anno Hideaki’s early concept plot and part of the script, as well as materials for the original setting draft by the main designers and staff. The cover is drawn by Matsubara Hidenori, who served as character animation director and design work, and the back cover is drawn by Kaneyoshu, who served as the general animation director and mechanical animation director.
It has also been decided that cheering screenings will be held at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo and TOHO Cinemas Namba in Osaka on March 15th. Tickets will be on sale from midnight on March 13th on each theater site. At the screening of voice OK, a “Support Screening Guide Video” by Tsuchiya Kamiha, who plays Shuji Ito, is currently being released on the official YouTube channel, Gundam Channel.
It has also been decided that the Gundam Channel will be broadcast live on the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX Special Stage, which will be held at AnimeJapan 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight from 4:15pm on March 23rd.
On this stage, Kurosawa Tomo will be appearing in the role of Amate Yuzuriha, Tsuchiya Kamiha as Shuji Ito, Kawada Shinji as Sharia Bull, Shinyuki as Char Aznable, and Ise Mariya as Anki, with Matsuzawa Neki as MC.
On the same day, on March 23rd, a stage greeting was held to commemorate the huge success of the theatrical advance edition. It will be delivered live nationwide at the same time. Currently, applications are being accepted for ticket Pia’s advance lottery sale until 11am on March 14th. The voice actors will be played by a similar lineup as in “AnimeJapan 2025”, and the MC will be Kyogoku Masami.
The advance film in the theatrical version, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-, is currently on screen. Starting March 15th, the eighth entry gift, “ANNO SCENARIO & DESIGN WORKS 2,” will be available for distribution.
