A press conference for ” THE LORD OF THE RINGS : THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM,” the first original feature-length animated film in the “Lord of the Rings” series, was held on June 11th (local time) at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, an animation film festival currently being held in France. The press conference unveiled world-first footage and three stills featuring the main character, Princess Hera, and other characters.
The film is directed by Kamiyama Kenji , known for the ” Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 ” series, and will be released nationwide in December.
This is an original story that expands on the description of Helm, the strongest king of Rohan, which is part of J.R.R. Tolkien ‘s fantasy novel “The Lord of the Rings Supplement”. The recently announced feature-length animation “THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM” is being produced by New Line Cinema, which produced the legendary ” Lord of the Rings ” trilogy and its prequel “The Hobbit” trilogy, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Animation. Kenji Kamiyama , known for ” Eden of the East ,” ” Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex ,” and ” Guardian of the Spirit ,” has been selected to direct this Hollywood blockbuster. Animation will be produced by Studio Sola Entertainment, known for ” Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045: A Sustainable War ,” the anime ” ULTRAMAN ,” and “Blade Runner: Black Lotus,” with Joseph Chou of the same company participating as producer. The stills, released for the first time worldwide, show members of the royal family of Rohan for the first time. They include the main character, Princess Hela, facing off against enemies with her beautiful and strong eyes, her three children Hela, Hareth, and Herma surrounding King Helm, and Wolf, a childhood friend who becomes his greatest enemy.
